A Popular Grammar of The Elements of Astrology - First Edition - Squire 1818

A RARE 1818 First Edition of this book by Thomas Squire with a Note to "My Respected Friend Mr. Henry Andrews" Dated June 4th 1818. Printed by G. Sidney of Northumberland Street, Strand, London for J. Souter, No. 73, St. Paul's Church-Yard. The book is 6 inches by 3 3/4 inches in size and of 283 pages. In very good general condition for its 200 years of age....some page browning and minor stain spots...no foxing. The introduction states there are 37 engravings... some are page 'fold-outs'. I think one is missing from between pages 114-115 . Most of them are in good condition....one '''The Hemisphere Map is missing one half of the planet and a couple of others have some rips and some scruffy page edges... but all are complete. The boards are in good average condition and the book remains fully bound. We have found only one other 1818 Edition offered for sale on-line and the condition on that one appears pretty average. PRICE LOWERED due to missing engraving and one half engraving plate.
