Vintage British Military Hat Cockade

This looks to me to be from the Victorian period....very old indeed. I would thing that the Badger Bristles were once dyed in a bright colour but now no remains of any colour. The metal part features a Stag standing on pine cones I think. Length is 6 1/2". Someone out there probably knows what regiment this badge represents??Looks the type of thing that sat on a Shako.
